Facing difficult challenges in our lives can be frightening. It can trigger us to face uncomfortable emotions. However, it can be a time for healing and growth. Through the process of psychotherapy we can begin your healing journey. Together we will process your thoughts and feelings without judgement, while accessing your strengths to build resilience.
My focus is to help individuals heal and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I see therapy as teamwork and it is my goal to partner with you through your journey. I find it important to build a strong therapeutic alliance that allows us to work collaboratively to meet your goals, while I strive to create a safe space that facilitates vulnerability, connectedness, awareness, and growth.
My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

I'm excited to be on this journey with you!
You'll often hear me say this "In order to heal you must allow yourself to feel". However that's the last thing many of us want to do, feel uncomfortable emotions. Sometimes we get stuck in trying to avoid emotions behind unwanted thoughts or painful and unpleasant experiences, such as the loss of a loved one, ending of a relationship, or divorce. In the process of trying to avoid these uncomfortable emotions we don't realize the impact it has on our ability to function or thrive. Recently you may have realized that your mood has been different; you've been feeling down or irritable, maybe you find yourself isolating and withdrawing from friends or family. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or stuck. I believe that when we make space to process these emotions and experiences we allow ourselves to heal.
That's the beauty of therapy, with my help you'll learn some tips and use tools along the way to process feelings, develop copings skills and build resilience. When you work with me, I'll help you to access your inner strengths to face challenges and promote personal growth. You'll learn to be cognizant of the words you tell yourself; are they helpful and support healing or are they irrational and damaging? Our thoughts affect the way we feel and the way we behave, therefore learning how to recognize and replace irrational thoughts is an essential part of the healing process. With my support, you'll gain insight and learn strategies to change your perspective and behaviors that may be holding you back from experiencing a more meaningful life.
